I dunno. I can't help thinking I'm missing something important here.
Like, if they really want to blow our tiny minds why don't they have Kurt sing Daniel Johnston or ABBA or Shonen Knife or something? Ultimately, I'm just surprised at how little video game graphics have moved on in 20 years. And how crap Sunny Day Really Lame still sound, with or without a pixelated representation of a figure that begins to look less and less like Kurt Cobain every time I see it.
I am seriously thinking about tipping off Daniel's manager over Activision's use of Jeremiah The Frog, however.

Yes I think they are idiots. They are part of the cancer that pervades a certain contingent of the music/gaming industry - chino be-clad bankers that don't understand anything about culture and couldn't give a shit. People with no imagination and no sense of what could be interesting or not.

ReplyDeleteIf I had kids, which I don't, I'd ban them from playing crap like this. Much better to encourage them to put the effort into playing a real guitar even if they end up playing as badly as me!
