Dave Graney vs Triple J's Hottest 100 Of All Time

This is worth a look at - Dave Graney giving Triple J listeners a much-deserved slapping over at Mess And Noise. Here are a couple of samples...

1. Nirvana: ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’
Boston’s ‘More Than a Feeling’ with different lyrics. Not as good either.
3. Jeff Buckley: ‘Hallelujah’
Tim was better and I can’t stand Leonard Cohen.
14. The Verve: ‘Bittersweet Symphony’
The Stones old manager got them to pay him 100 percent royalties.

25. Pearl Jam: ‘Alive’

Pioneers of the Francis the Talking Mule vocal style.

28. Radiohead: ‘Fake Plastic Trees’
Why are these guys still around? They did their best to get kicked back to the sticks! Let them go!

Dave Graney, of course, being a man who's released more decent records than 93% of Triple J's Top 100 put together. You can find the original article here.

Thank funk... it's always nice to see someone trashing Jeff Buckley as he's got a lot to answer for. His one redeeming feature was that he had the good taste to nail Liz Fraser. Don't forget - Kurt hated SLTS too.!
