The Legend needs no introduction, but he’s Everett True, in case you were wondering. Tonight his four-piece backing band rotate between guitar, drums, keys and a couple of horns, as the veteran music critic sings short, deconstructed pop songs about liking things, not liking things and other whimsical topics that allude to profundity. He drinks water so regularly between the lines of songs it’s almost hypnotic – like the mating ritual of a bird not built for a sub-tropical climate. (Jakeb Smith)
