is this the stuff Warren was talking about in the Guardian a few years back? Have you heard the Sicilian Folk music CD released in, maybe 92 or 93, or songs which, as near as I can remember, were mostly about revenge.

there's a great book called 'the road to rembetika' by an australian lady called gail holst. It's packed with great stories and english translations of some of the lyrics. if you can find it!
