I really like this song. But that verse guitar riff sounds very like something else, and I can't quite put my finger on it. For some reason, I thought it might be some kind of riff that sounds similar to an 80s rock song.

Ahh, that verse riff - it reminds me of beginning riff out of Guns and Roses 'Don't Cry'. Yikes.

at the start of it, it's actually all the same notes on the verse of it... also the bass is doing it. but still, the song is an entirely different beast. and it really is catchy!

Massimo - yes I agree. When I was listening to it, the song was driving me crazy - I knew I heard a similar set of notes before.

The chorus chords also remind me of some old 50s or 60s song - though again, I can't put my finger on it - something like the Seekers or something.

I'm sorry to say that I've played many a show supporting or being supported by such a band in London..."College" bands who have a ground swell of matey support..the venues love these bands as they bring the punters in..not based on musical greatness but on mateship-seeing their mates playing in a band...I cant see it progressing beyond this puppy love stage...sorry ET
